The Power of Shea

The Power of Shea

If you’ve been following along, you probably already know one of the main ingredients in our products is Shea. We have shea butter in our Face Cleanser and Moisturizer and shea leaf aqueous extract in our Toner.
So we wanted to share a little on how it gets from the farms in Togo into your ITADI products.
The Shea nuts are ethically sourced in Northern Togo, West Africa through the Alaffia cooperative. The nuts are collected from hundreds of fair trade farmers across the region then processed into shea butter at a facility in Sokodé.
This shea butter is then shipped to the U.S. where it is formulated into your
ITADI products.

Let’s get into why we use shea butter - scientifically known as Butyrospermum park. Shea butter contains high concentrations of Vitamin A & E which keep the skin supple, nourished, moisturized and radiant ✨.
Shea butter is actually a fat that is extracted from shea tree nuts. These fatty acids are known to naturally soften, condition, tone and soothe skin.
Shea also has anti-inflammatory, anti-aging and healing properties which help promote collagen production.
Since shea butter is a low-risk topical ingredient, allergic reactions to shea butter are rare.
ITADI was carefully formulated for people with sensitive skin.
We hope you enjoy!
